CrossFit builds community like few other things in the world. These people will become some of your biggest fans as they cheer you on in the box and your personal life as well! There of course some friendly competition in the mix as well. Having a second family to back and challenge you will push you to do things you wouldn’t have attempted or reached on your own!
Functional fitness doesn’t only serve you in the gym, but across the board in all areas of life. Fitness will serve you as you move furniture in your home and take your resistant dog to the vet. It isn’t just about today, but the ability play ball with your grandchildren for years to come.
The training methodology unique to CrossFit produces the fittest athletes on earth. CrossFit is, “Constantly varied, functional movement, performed at high intensity.” Simply put, you won’t get bored! We train many modalities from olympic and power lifting to gymnastics and strong man. Don’t let this scare you though! We teach you as we go. You jump in where you’re at with the skills you have and we build on that!
WOD stands for the Workout Of the Day, which is usually what brings the competition and intensity to the floor! They are different every day and while they vary in length, skills, and reps, they will always challenge you!

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports."
Every year athletes from all over the world compete in the CrossFit Games. This is the elite athletes completing the toughest workouts, but you will quickly see why CrossFit athletes are known as the fittest in the world!
